Effective Date: 11 September 2026
Welcome to Fendr! Your privacy is of utmost importance to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our platform. By accessing or using Fendr, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
We collect various types of information to provide, improve, and personalize our services. The information we collect includes:
When you create an account or use our services, we may collect:
We may collect data related to your use of Fendr, including:
We may collect optional profile information to personalize moderation (for the same creator account), including:
When you interact with our platform, we collect technical data, such as:
If, and only if, you accept advertising cookies, we also record which advertisement or link brought you to Fendr (an advertising click identifier stored in the _fbp and _fbc cookies), together with your IP address and browser user agent at the time you create your account.
We use this for one purpose: to tell whether our advertising is reaching people who go on to use Fendr. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and we do not sell it.
Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time through the cookie banner, after which we stop sharing this information. Withdrawal does not affect sharing that has already taken place.
If you link third-party accounts (e.g., social media platforms), we may collect data from these sources, as permitted by their privacy policies.
We use the information collected to:
We use automated tools, including AI, to analyze comment text and apply moderation settings. You can adjust your settings at any time. If you share optional profile or special category data, it is used only to tune moderation for your account, and you can withdraw consent and delete that data at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. However, we may share your data under the following circumstances:
We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers to support platform functionality, such as hosting, data analytics, AI analysis, email delivery, and payment processing. These providers only process data on our behalf and under contractual restrictions.
We may disclose your data if required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or legal processes.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
We may share your information with third parties if you provide explicit consent.
This is how advertising measurement works. If you accept advertising cookies, we share a limited set of information with Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and with Google so they can tell us whether an advertisement led to a sign-up or a subscription. What is shared is the advertising click identifier described in section 1(e), your IP address and browser user agent, and an irreversible code derived from your email address — a cryptographic hash, not the address itself, which cannot be turned back into it.
Meta and Google act as independent controllers of the data they receive for this purpose, and their own privacy policies govern what they do with it. If you decline advertising cookies, or have not yet made a choice, nothing is shared with either of them.
We may share your information with public authorities and law enforcement when legally required to do so, after reviewing the request to ensure it complies with applicable laws.
Payments are processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe). We do not store full card details on our servers. Payment processors may collect payment information directly from you subject to their own privacy policies.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Advertising measurement information (section 1(e)) is kept only for as long as it is useful for measuring the advertising it relates to, and is deleted when you withdraw consent or close your account.
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including:
To exercise these rights, please contact us at emily@fendrapp.com.
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of data transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external platforms.
Fendr is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
If you access Fendr from outside Ireland, your data may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data protection laws, including the United States. By using our platform, you consent to these transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of Fendr after such updates constitutes your acknowledgment of the changes.
