Cookie Policy

Effective Date: 11 September 2026

We, Fendr, use cookies to enhance your user experience and to collect information about how you use our tool. This cookie policy explains what cookies are, how we use them, and your choices regarding cookies.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. Cookies can be used to remember your preferences, to enable certain features and functionalities, and to collect information about your usage of the website or service.

How We Use Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the operation of our tool and cannot be turned off in our system. They are usually set in response to actions made by you, such as logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the tool may not function properly without them.

Analytics Cookies

These cookies allow us to collect information about how you use our tool, such as which pages you visit and how long you spend on each page. This information helps us to understand how our tool is being used and to improve its functionality and performance.

Functional Cookies

These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your language preferences or login information. If you disable these cookies, some features may not work as intended.

Advertising Cookies

These cookies let us measure whether our advertising works — for example, whether someone who saw an ad for Fendr went on to start a trial. They are set by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (the Meta Pixel, which uses cookies named _fbp and _fbc) and by Google.

These cookies are never set unless you accept them. Until you make a choice, and if you choose Decline, they are not loaded at all and no advertising data leaves your browser.

If you accept, we also record which advertisement or link brought you to Fendr, together with your IP address and browser user agent, and we share a limited set of that information with Meta so it can be matched to the advertisement you saw. Where we share an email address with Meta for this purpose, it is converted into an irreversible code (a cryptographic hash) before it leaves our systems — Meta receives the code, not the address.

You can withdraw this consent at any time using the cookie banner, or by clearing the cookies stored by your browser. Withdrawing consent stops any further sharing.

Who Receives Cookie Data

  • Meta Platforms Ireland Limited — advertising measurement (only if you accept advertising cookies)
  • Google — website analytics, and advertising measurement (only if you accept)
  • PostHog — product analytics, to understand how the app is used

Your Choices Regarding Cookies

When you first visit Fendr you are asked to accept or decline. Analytics and advertising cookies are switched off until you accept, and declining is a single click with no loss of functionality. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's stored data in your browser, which brings the banner back.

You can also set your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features of our tool may not function properly without essential cookies.

If you do not wish to receive cookies from our tool, you can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. You can also delete cookies that have already been stored on your device. To do this, please refer to the instructions provided by your browser or mobile device.

Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. Any changes to this cookie policy will be posted on our website. We encourage you to review this cookie policy periodically to stay informed about our cookie practices.
